Mac and Cheese
I discovered a loooooot of things when I was living in England, and Mac & Cheese is one of my discoveries ! I love this perfect automn/winter meal, generous, easy to cook and share…
Try it and let me know what you think, I am sure you will love it too !
For this Mac & Cheese, you need :
For 3 to 4 people – it depends if you eat only this meal or if you serve it with a side
- 250g pasta (macaronis of course !)
- 60g butter
- 60g plain flour
- 1 pint of milk
- 15cl creme fraiche
- 1 handfull of grated cheddar cheese
- 1 handfull of grated emmental cheese
- 1 handfull of grated mozzarella cheese
- (a little bit of parmesan cheese to put on the top)
Start with cooking the macaroni in a larce saucepan of boiling salted water.
Pre-heat your oven (180C).
In a second saucepan, melt the butter (medium heat) then add the flour.
Stir with a whisk.
Then, add the milk, and cook while whiking again (it will look like a bechamel, thickened and smooth), still on a medium heat.
Remove the pan from the hob, add pepper, creme fraich, and the grated cheeses. Stir again until it is well combiner.
Add the macaroni to this mixture and transfer to a oven dish.
Sprinkle the parmesan and cook during 15 minutes.
